RealValu LLC is seeking a Licensed or Certified Residential Appraiser based anywhere in Colorado who wants to do disciplined, well-supported valuation work with modern tools.

This is a remote position, with fieldwork completed in your local coverage area. This role is ideal for an appraiser with a solid command of valuation techniques who is ready to take on a broad range of residential assignments.

RealValu LLC is a growing, independent Colorado appraisal company. Unlike large national firms, we offer hands-on guidance, direct access to experienced supervisory appraisers, and real input into how the company runs.
We have established relationships with a wide range of local and national lenders and AMCs, and we pair a structured, repeatable methodology with proprietary AI-powered tools from Appraisal-Assistant.com to deliver accurate, defensible valuations across Colorado.
Role description
- 01Select and analyze comparable sales, interpret market data, and develop credible opinions of value using accepted valuation methods and techniques
- 02Apply close attention to detail to deliver reports that meet USPAP, GSE, and client requirements
- 03Complete reports in the UAD 3.6 format and redesigned URAR, with training and support provided
- 04Manage your schedule and workload to maintain a steady, reasonable assignment pipeline
- 05Communicate professionally with clients, AMCs, and our operations team throughout each assignment
- 06Collaborate with senior appraisers and take part in ongoing training and quality review
- 07Assist in mentoring and working alongside appraiser trainees as needed
- 08Maintain continuing education and all licensing and credential requirements
- 09Offer input on workflows, data collection methods, and process improvements
- 10For Licensed Appraisers, work toward the Certified Residential credential with guidance from our experienced appraisers
- 11Provide feedback on the tools and technology we use and develop
You bring
- 01Current Colorado Licensed Appraiser or Certified Residential Appraiser credential in good standing
- 02Strong analytical, research, and problem-solving skills
- 03Comfort with technology, including appraisal software, MLS platforms, and data tools
- 04Sound independent judgment and the ability to work with minimal oversight
- 05Consistent, reliable valuation work that clients can depend on
- 06Clear, professional written and verbal communication
- 07Strong time management and organization
- 08A self-motivated approach and a genuine interest in growing within the profession
- 09Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation for fieldwork
Compensation
This is a full-time W-2 role with compensation based on a percentage of the appraisal fee. You will earn 50% of the total fee for each completed appraisal report. In addition, this role includes:
- 01Operational support, including client coordination and order management
- 02Ongoing quality development through training, one-on-one coaching, and industry updates
- 03Hands-on UAD 3.6 and redesigned URAR training and support
- 04Company-paid tools and subscriptions (software, MLS/Supra dues, E&O insurance, license renewals, and CE where applicable)
Other job requirements
This role involves frequent written and verbal communication, extended periods of computer work, and regular use of hands to operate electronic equipment such as laptops, tablets, and measuring devices. Candidates must be able to occasionally lift and carry up to 50 pounds and to stand, reach, and walk, sometimes over uneven, snowy, or icy terrain. Fieldwork takes place in all seasons and weather conditions, so comfort working outdoors is essential.
